Below is a special message from our RES PTA President, Lisa Goldstein, in honor of Fairfield County Giving Day on March 1, 2018.
Hello RES PTA Families –
We wanted to let you know that tomorrow, March 1, is Fairfield County’s Giving Day. What does that mean? It’s a one day event for the people in and around our community to show our collective support for organizations that make a difference in our lives. The idea started more than 20 years ago when five smaller non-profits got together to promote philanthropy as a means to create change in Fairfield County. It has now grown to the point that last year alone, this amazing day of giving raised $1,465,246 donated by 13,718 individuals for 414 nonprofits.
While we are not formally participating in the event, we wanted to take this opportunity to support some of the organizations right here in Redding that provide incredible resources and activities for our kids, our families and our community. If you would like to make a donation, we are sure they would greatly appreciate your support!
