Getting Picture Perfect for your RES Fall Family Photo Day!

This Sunday is our annual RES PTA Photo Day fundraiser! An extremely talented local family photographer, Claudia Pacifico, is donating her entire sitting fee to help us pay for the many educational, enrichment and community-building programs we run each year. And friends of the RES PTA will have amazing photos, taken at the Redding Historical Society‘s historic, beautiful Lonetown Farm, with peak fall foliage in the background!

If you haven’t signed up already, you can do so through your MySchoolAnywhere.com account, or contact us via Facebook or email. If you can’t figure out how to sign up on MSA, just reach out and we’ll walk you through the two-step process.

If you HAVE signed up, you’re probably spending the next few days brainstorming ideas for great family outfits that will pop against the foliage. We have scoured Pinterest for the best advice on everything from makeup to posing to color combos!

Welcome Letter

Dear Family,
Your child has been busy making beautiful artwork that can be made into many fun products such as magnets, t-shirts, mouse pads, ornaments and much more!

Coming home to you soon is a school sponsored elementary fundraiser called Square 1 Art. Square 1 takes your child’s artwork and makes it into great products for you to purchase. These products are wonderful keepsakes and gifts for family and friends. Celebrate your child’s artistic achievement and support our school at the same time!

The money raised from this fundraiser will enable us to continue its efforts in supporting our students. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and allows us to continue offering educational opportunities to our school!

Fundraising Positions Open for 2016-17!

The Fundraising VP is currently seeking volunteers for the following committees. Get involved today! Please email Lenore Pranzo if you are interested in chairing any of the following events:
Great Turkey Escape 5K – This great event takes place yearly on Thanksgiving. It is a coming together of our great community. The event benefits RES PTA, Redding Historical Society and The Venturing Crew. Also other charities that vary each year get a one time donation. The role of the person in charge of this collaborates with the race director. It involves some sponsor solicitation and filling out of the proper RES and Community Center forms. The day of the race you will help out as needed and still be able to participate in the 5k.
RES Fall Family Photo Day – This is a role that take a little up front work with scheduling the photographer and securing the outdoor location. And then it is follow up with families and photo day helping the photographer flow through the photo sessions. This can easily be one person.
Redding Artisan Fair – Help is needed to organize and run the kid’s section of this event. This can be one or many people.
Fall Fest – This is an event that might happen this fall. This is still in the idea stage so please contact if you are interested in getting in on this in the beginning stages.
**Also if anyone is interested (even slightly) in becoming the VP of fundraising in 2017-18 and beyond, let us know! The role can be transitioned over the next school year.
